Hello and Welcome

Hello and welcome to my blog! I’m Lauren, an artist from Cheltenham, UK, and I’m delighted to have you here. Today, I want to introduce myself and give you a glimpse of what’s to come in this corner of the internet.

I love being outdoors in stunning gardens and going for leisurely walks in the woods (weather permitting, of course). As a member of the National Trust, I find endless inspiration in old houses and picturesque gardens nestled in the countryside.

I love being inspired by vintage tins, books, or seemingly insignificant “bits and bobs”. Those old artifacts and vintage aesthetics are really interesting to me, and you’ll see that show through in my artwork.

In my creative process, I enjoy working with traditional mediums like pencil, watercolour, ink and gouache. Occasionally, I’ll dabble with acrylic art to keep things spicy. After creating a piece, I scan it onto my laptop to do the computer magic and get it ready for print. As a somewhat neat and tidy person, creating ‘flat lay’ style artwork is my favourite thing to do – basically ‘things arranged neatly’ like in the example of cheese and cider card I made for my brother below.

This ‘Studio Journal’ is where I’ll share upcoming collections, works in progress and take you behind the scenes of some of my projects.

Before I go, I encourage you to follow me on Instagram or Facebook and say hello! Your engagement brings me pure joy, and I promise I will do a happy dance every time someone says hello!

Until next time,

Lauren x
